« The symbolism of wedding in the Megalithic Science » Lecture presented by Serge Le Guirriec ( Institute of Human Studies)
The Museum of Mankind of Bhopal is an open field museum of 40 ha. It is located at the top of the Shamla hills. Lots of huts show the housing of tribals; they are spread out in the shrubby vegetation. Some of them are basics, some others are decorated with traditional patterns, sometimes with people or animals. A big room with informative panels and leaflets has been added to the museum.
It is in this museum that we discovered with amazement a tribal art with patterns so similar to the ones we studied on the engraved stones of the megaliths of Brittany.
Half concentric circles similar to the ones we can find on the stones of the dolmen of Gavrinis in Brittany.
Sarguja tribal house with an outside wall surrounding an inside space; both of them are covered with similar signs similar to the ones we can find on the stones of the dolmen of Gavrinis in Brittany.
